Personal vs Organization Account
Choose the right account type for your needs.
Overview
Fairlx offers two account types to serve different needs:
- Personal Account — For individual users and freelancers
- Organization Account — For teams and companies
Personal Accounts
Personal accounts are designed for individual users:
- Single owner with full control
- One primary workspace
- Can invite collaborators to projects
- Simpler structure without organization layer
- Perfect for freelancers and solo developers
Organization Accounts
Organization accounts are built for teams:
- Multiple workspaces for different teams
- Team roles (Owner, Admin, Member)
- Centralized billing for the organization
- Fine-grained permissions and access control
- Audit logs and compliance features

Which Should You Choose?
Choose based on your needs:
- Choose Personal if: You're working solo or with occasional collaborators
- Choose Organization if: You're part of a team with multiple projects and need team management
Tip
Not sure? Start with Personal—you can always upgrade to Organization later.
Upgrading to Organization
You can upgrade a Personal account to an Organization account at any time:
- Go to Account Settings
- Click "Upgrade to Organization"
- Enter your organization details
- Your existing workspace becomes part of the organization
Warning
This is a one-way operation. Once upgraded, you cannot convert back to a Personal account.
